ARCHIVES

Seasonal material is removed temporarily from the website after a certain length of time, but the page concerned is held here and contains a note on the original content. Certain paragraphs or images may be retained when the content is relevant to another page. If enough visitors ask for a particular article or item I am happy to repost it. Please contact me via the Contact the Editor page.

"Autumn and Winter Gardens" has just been moved to the archive as it is - nominally at least - now Spring in Britain.

Currently "Victorian Christmas" retains all its elements because of visitors' interest in pantomime as a popular dramatic genre, and the link between the "Women's Hospital" and the material on ferneries in "Autumn and Winter Gardens".

"Christmas Fare" has now been edited down but this material -or similar - will be reinstated at the appropriate time. The advertising item has been retained.

"Christmas Crackers" retains only material relevant to other pages on the site.

For important information on Copyright, Citations, Images and References please see my Home Page. There you will also find an explanation of the aims of Victorian Page, and  a note about me.
